All Groomed Up

Finally, we were able to take Vash for stripping and general grooming… and now he’s all handsome… what a difference in the before and after, huh?

Vash-before

With the pregnancy and baby, it’s true that Vash has been neglected a bit… but now we have to get back into the routine of things. It’s so nice to finally be able to see his eyes properly! He’s so cute and looks younger actually. Our little furbaby…

Vash-after

If only he’ll stay still for photos though. It’s hard to capture these Westies in action!

I just came across your blog and I love it! We too have a westie, and had our first baby last September. I feel so ashamed of how poorly I was able to take care of our dog’s fur while pregnant, and since Leo was born, but I do try. I have to strip him myself because groomers are way expensive here… It’s fun, but our dog honestly always looks like a mess lol. Anyway, this makes me want to start a blog for our fur baby, too:)

Congrats on your new baby, and good luck! Our westie got a wee bit jealous, and now, after 6 months, I finally feel like I am able to devote more time to him. He adored the baby from day one, though:)

I know the feeling – during pregnancy when you can’t even bend over to put on your socks, it’s amazingly difficult to groom your dog! Not to mention our little Vash kept running away from me, because he knew I wanted to comb him. I just didn’t have the energy to chase him around. We finally caved in and paid for the stripping – 3 hours!!! Poor guy, because it had been so long. But we also have a stripping tool at home as well. Slowly but surely, trying to get back into a routine with him… we actually like him extra furry generally :)

Wish you luck and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Thanks for sharing these photos of your family. My westie just got a haircut too and it’s a shock getting used to new dog in the house. Vash has beautiful hair!
